Home not so sweet Home

Hey there,
So I thought today I would post about something that is a big problem for everyone who is moving to London. Finding a decent and affordable place to live.
Well good luck with that!
I've been in London for over a year now and I have had sooo many problems with finding a place to live that  I probably have grey hair now.
First of all remember London is divided into WEST, NORTH, SOUTH and EAST.
WEST is really beautiful but its super expensive and posh but its safe, there are loads of parks there and mainly white people (no offence).
NORTH is less expensive then west but still expensive. In terms of safety in depends on the exact erea where you choose to live. For example Camden is where loads of alternative, indie etc people hang out and go out but to actually live there is not that safe.
SOUTH is affordable but there are mostly different colored and poor people. It does depend on the area because I used to live in Clapham Common which is South and it was a lovely place but that was mainly because only people with good incomes live there. All the areas around where .. well.. dirty and looked unsafe.
EAST is where I live now. Its not too bad. I live at Canning Town which is zone 3. the transport access there is pretty good so I cannot complain about that. The people who live in east London are usually colored people, white people with low income, students and people who came from Baltic countries or Poland to work in London. East used to be the most dangerous part of London but as far as I can tell its alright. Probably better then South.
I will post later about things like Council Tax, where to find flats/houses etc, tips on what to look for, what problems may occur.
