Home Sweet Home 3: What to look for when you are looking at a flat?

First of all if the flat is dirty when you come to see it and the agent or landlord say that it will be cleaned or fixed when you move in then believe me it won't be. That is what the agents usually say when they want you to move in faster. Of course there are some who will keep their promises but that's a very small amount of agencies.
Check the flat for any mold, rats or anything like that. Be very careful when you look for it and take your time. I know it might be uncomfortable when the agent is standing next to you all the time but you don't want to live in a place with rats. Do you now?
Check out if all of the windows are opening and closing properly.
Check if the bathroom and shower are working.
Before going to see the flat make a list of questions that you want to ask.
If you see something broken but you still want to move in try to lower the price.
READ THE CONTRACT THROUGH!!! This is very important.
Always google the agency or landlord that you are working with.
Research the area where the flat/house is. Is it safe there? What transportation is available? etc.
Finding place to live is a serious task so don't worry if it takes time. Be patient.
When communicating with the agency/landlord try to not only phone them but email them as well. So then if anything goes wrong you will have proof of something they promised you.

I know everything that I wrote is common sense but sometimes we need to be reminded of the common stuff)))
